Terms of Service

Welcome to Kira. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kira app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Accounts

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

Creators and fans

Kira is a single app for both creators and fans. Any account may apply to become a creator. Creators operate a Public Hall and may launch campaigns and receive tips, subject to these Terms and applicable law.

Campaigns

• Creators may launch campaigns with an activation threshold and optional stretch goals. Fans may back a campaign by selecting a pledge tier.
• Funds are collected when a campaign reaches its activation threshold. If a campaign does not activate, pledges are not charged.
• Creators are responsible for fulfilling what they promise in a campaign.

Tips

Tips are voluntary, one-time payments to a creator. Except where required by law, tips are non-refundable once completed.

Payments and fees

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Platform fees, if any, are disclosed in the Service at the time of the transaction. You authorize us and our payment providers to charge your selected payment method for the amounts you approve.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post unlawful, infringing, harassing, or harmful content.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Service.
• Use the Service for fraud or any illegal purpose.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Content ownership

You retain ownership of the content you create. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host and display that content as needed to operate the Service.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kira is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
